  1. This is definitely sad news to hear. Roy took me into his family like i was his own son. I went camping with his family, went boating to Lake Lopez when Roy was working in Avila Beach and helped take all 3 kids to their sporting events. Roy helped get me into Local 250 in 1985 and i am very glad i did. He hooked me up at the time with Schultz Mechanical where i spent the first 34 years of my trade. Roy i thank you for all our great times we got to spend together and the conversations we enjoyed my friend. Until we meet again my friend. RIP Roy.

    • Hey Spike…Yes I remember the job in Whittier..the co-gen for Schneider Corp. You were running around the office helping out. I got there in early 86. I had missed 1 class of apprenticeship…on purpose so I could remain an apprentice. Journeyman were stacking the books..work was terrible than. Roy spoke with me when I brought my work order in. I explained I was in my last period of apprenticeship…he was so gracious..he set up my wages on journeyman pay. I got to know his group of friends..Floyd Harris was my foreman. All of these guys were a great tribute to Local 250. Sad to learn of his passing..he was the last to go of his tight friends. RIP Roy…
